Readi started for one simple reason: we love making friends and we wanted a safer, more intentional way to do it.
By 2019, the apps and social media platforms we thought were supposed to bring us together felt like they were only succeeding in pushing us apart. In a lot of ways, they still are. So in the middle of the 2020 pandemic, from a two-bedroom apartment in the heart of San Antonio, Texas, we got to work. COVID was making an already complex problem worse, so we bet everything on the idea that people would be “ready” to find safer ways to make real connections with people everywhere.
Fast forward to the present, and we’re building a worry-free solution to social life, one where adventure is right around every corner. Taking hints from multiplayer online gaming, the Readi app creates safe, rewarding social connections for all by turning the locations you already love into unique and meaningful experiences with new friends.
